As vaccinations become more and more common, so does our social calendar. Even as an extrovert, I can say being around people and talking to people just doesn’t come as naturally as it once did. Being in crowds and talking to strangers is something we’re all learning all over again and it can be stressful.
While shorter wait lists and new faces are a perk on this new chapter of 2021, there are also some new anxieties to pay attention to. One of the best things to understand your emotions is to be in tuned with your body. To notice those moments when your jaw is tightened, your breaths are shallow and your neck and shoulders are tense. By noticing your body language, you can begin to control your anxious thoughts and begin to come into the present.
